PowerDNS Authoritative Server 5.1.0-alpha1
Every year during winter, we at PowerDNS benefit from our developers being snowed in and having no choice but to work on our codebase.
Now that the snowdrifts are about to start thawing, we can release that labour of love to the world.
Today, we are releasing version 5.1.0-alpha1 of the PowerDNS Authoritative Server. It contains many small new features and improvements, as well as the unavoidable bug fixes.
Please test it and help us make the final 5.1.0 release a success!

Please make sure to read the Upgrade Notes before upgrading.
The tarball and its signature is available at downloads.powerdns.com. Packages for various distributions are available from repo.powerdns.com.

Note that per our End of Life policy, the release of the final 5.1.0 version will mark the end of support for version 4.8.
