It’s finally here!
Today, we are delighted to release PowerDNS Authoritative Server version 5.0.0. As you may remember from the previous test releases announcements, the main new feature of this release is the bind-style views feature. But of course, we have also been working on bug fixes, other features, and documentation improvements, as usual.

The tarball and its signature are available at downloads.powerdns.com. Packages for various distributions are available from repo.powerdns.com.

Note that per our End of life policy, the release of the final 5.0.0 version marks the end of support for version 4.7. However, users with a commercial agreement with PowerDNS.com B.V. or Open-Xchange can receive support for releases which are End Of Life. If you are such a user, this EOL statement does not apply to you.
