Written by Remi Gacogne | Jun 20, 2024 9:47:55 AM

We released PowerDNS DNSdist 1.9.5 today, fixing minor bugs:

  • Reply to HTTP/2 PING frames immediately

  • Use the correct source IP for outgoing QUIC datagrams

  • Two race conditions with custom Lua web handlers

  • Syslog logging should be enabled by default

  • Log the correct amount of bytes sent for DoH with nghttp2

  • Enforce a maximum number of HTTP request fields and a maximum HTTP request line size in the internal webserver

  • Edit the systemd unit file, CAP_BPF  is no longer sufficient for eBPF

  • Fix 'Error creating TCP worker' error message

We also added two minor new features for Lua FFI users:

  • Add a Lua FFI function to set proxy protocol values

  • Add Lua FFI bindings to generate SVC responses

Please see the DNSdist website for the changelog and the current documentation.

Please send us all feedback and issues you might have via the mailing list, or in case of a bug, via GitHub.

The release tarball and its signature are available on the downloads website, and packages for several distributions are available from our repository.
