dnsdist 1.0.0 released!

Apr 21, 2016

We are pleased to announce the release of the 1.0.0 version of dnsdist.

dnsdist is a highly DNS-, DoS- and abuse-aware loadbalancer. Its goal in life is to route traffic to the best server, delivering top performance to legitimate users while shunting or blocking abusive traffic. It is fully scriptable in the Lua language.

Together with this release, Bert Hubert is presenting at UKNOF34 about dnsdist 1.0.0, you can download the presentation here.

There have not been a lot of changes since 1.0.0-beta1, which is a good thing, see the changelog, furthermore dnsdist comes with extensive documentation.

Release tarballs are available on our download website. We also provide packages for several distributions (Debian, Ubuntu, CentOS) from our repositories.

We hope to hear your usage stories for dnsdist through twitter!
